Yesterday I completed the purchase of a set of Tokheim pumps. The first time I attempted to buy these must have been around 2000 or maybe 2001. It took a lot of negotiating to reach a price that myself and the owner could be happy with. The 39 was used as a Kerosene pump and was purchased used in the late 1950's. The 300 pumps were purchased new and were also installed in that time frame. The first picture is in 1962, the next is 1978, next is the early 90's and lastly is yesterday in the back yard. The yellow one is going to polish up nice and will have a good look. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the other one yet. These suckers were hard loading and unloading in the car by myself. They are real heavy and I look forward to getting them gutted. It's funny how the yellow paint held up well and unfortunately the white paint didn't. I bought the 39 two years ago.

CONGRATS on getting them and that's a great story!

Gotta love a hatchback car for hauling shorty pumps!!
(Wayne 100b at home after a long haul.) A tall with guts would be way too much for it tho.

Nice job getting that Wayne in there. Here is the station in the 1950's when the first addition was starting to go on. The station was originally built in 1946. Also pictured are what the clock and sign looked like when I first found them. Then after some cleaning and straightening. The clock works but it needs a transformer and the outer glass tube replaced. I removed the inner glass tube and tested it. It glowed green so that one will be reinstalled. It took me two weeks to figure out what the wooden letters on the clock originally said. I even used a scrabble word figure outer program I found on the internet and that didn't work out for me so I just kept studying the shards of wood that were still stuck on the lower prongs and eventually reached the conclusion that it had to say SIRUMS FRIENDLY CALSO STA.
I found a oak board and will replicate the letters as soon as I can match the font correctly. The gentleman I bought all this stuff from bought the property and station from his father in the 50's. Clock is dated from 1947 so it was originally ordered by his father. Station is about fifteen minutes from my house.

Looks like the station originally had Bowser pumps.

Sad to see them being separated after all those years.
