Came across these signs today. They've been standing in a garage as a separation wall for who knows how long. They measure 4' x 8', one sided metal with a texture paint. Very nice condition, Very very littie surface rust on some backs and no damage. They are in wood frames, I believe they may be the original shipping crates or just support frames?? Manufacturers stamp on the back as well. Anyone have any history on these such as maybe age? What would a general value idea be on these?? Thanks in advance for any help!

I agree Randy. I would say 450, 500, and 600 respectfully. Great looking signs.

signs are from the 20's era... Wadham's was purchased by Vacuum Oil Company in 1930.

IMO, the signage is/was advertising signs... Since they are made of tin, the frames ensured that the tackers, did not fold over on themselves when a more than gentle breeze caught them... Very nice looking signs.... I agree with Randy, 20s- early 30s before it became Mobilgas/Wadhams.... Like this sign:
Looking for Tide Water/ Tide Water-Associated/ Tidewater items

Why is that everyone on this site chooses to not respect the rules? As soon as he asked the value, this post did not belong here.
This is why so many of our Veteran Members are not answering anymore. We are telling people how to repair clocks, and I don't care if it does say Shell on it, it is still a clock. If my old Chevrolet truck has a Shell sticker on the door, can I ask here how to fix the transmission?
I do believe the name of this site is Primarly Petroliana, respect the rules.

smalt or smaltz is the material. Crushed colored glass or colored sand.
