I'm looking for a Tokheim roller nozzle for the restoration of my 850. If you have one for sale, please send me a PM.
Thanks Jeff

Thanks. I've made a few offers on that one, but they were declined. I may be wrong, but I'm hoping to get one quite a bit cheaper than $1000.

I don't think roller nozzles are an item you can price shop on. If you need it and you find it...then you just have to pay what the going price is that particular day.

you just have to pay what the going price is that particular day. which seems to be in the range of $600-$900... unless you can manage to buy one from an unknowing seller.

Thanks Dave. I've learned that the hard way. I should have picked up the other one a few weeks ago instead of trying to save $100.

Every time i go through a junk store or flea market etc now I am always looking for roller nozzles like the rest of the world .Its amazes me how much a little extra lever and some rarity raises the price of a plain 50.00 brass nozzle to a 700.00 + nozzle. Were these only used of the 850 series tokheim clocks? And is it the rarity only that fetches such a big price of is there something else ?
I like SINCLAIR and old American made stuff ... No china items.

Found a guy who did not know the price of them, When we were talking he mentioned he might have some. Went and sure enough had a small pile of them. Now he just likes them.

It I generally assumed that this type of nozzle was used on the Tokheim 850, but....not one piece of 850 literature that I have shows the nozzle, nor does the literature give any description of what nozzle comes with the pump. Same is to be said for the 950.
No ads show the nozzle also.
I don't doubt this is a 850 nozzle, but I would like to know how this was determined.

Quite honestly I don't believe these nozzles are very rare. I have found 3 or 4 just in the last month while digging around in Bulk plants by me. The owner where we were at wheeled a 55 gallon drum full of brass nozzles outside and kicked it over, there were 2 of them in there at the bottom. It's not like these aren't out there. They re-surface just like arrowheads do. I gave 2 quarts of whiskey for them, LOL! Greg Jones and Jerry Keller can vouch for that story. That's all the guy wanted for them! If I dig up some more I'll let you know.

Did you get them out of Rowling & Michaels? I bought all their old pumps in about 1991. Wish I had known more about nozzles at that time.

The 'double lever' nozzle was used on 850's with serial numbers 500,000 to 505,103 and 950's with serial numbers 345,122 to 499,999. The others used a single lever. This is from an original parts breakdown. Ron

No Jack, this was a different area near Alliance, Ohio. It's the oldest known Sinclair bulk plant in Ohio. Up in the rafters there were 2 old boards black in color that were laying up there about 12 foot long each. When I flipped them over and the dust settled, they said Sinclair Oils in gold letters. Very early indeed. This important find backs up what we think may have been the colors that Sinclair used first. Scott Benjamin and I were discussing his latest acquisition, a Sinclair AVIATION one piece etched globe and they used gold to detail the plane instead of the typical red you see on AIRCRAFT versions. If you would like a picture of the Milestone clockface model #40 for the new Gas Pump Price Guide, please just let me know, always willing to help out.
Kind Regards, Tim Rowland "Goober"

I gave 2 quarts of whiskey for them, LOL! I'll double that and give you 4 quarts if you can spare just one roller nozzle.

Tim,
Yes, please, send me a picture of the Milestone.
Would really like a photo mailed to me, but a picture sent by email at the highest resolution you can, will work out fine.
Sorry, I don't do PMs.
Thanks,
