I recently found an old gas station sign (plastic) in my attic, and was interested in getting some info./history on it. It is about four feet high and about two feet wide, with a red background. There is a yellow and white cartoon character (with what looks like a flame for a head) that is saluting. "Happy Motoring" is written across its chest. What company is this from, how old is it, and how common are these?

I forgot to mention that "Service" is printed along the top and "Station" is printed along the bottom in white letters.
