I have just been given a esso globe. It has November 1988 on the bottom. Im new to this but I'm guessing its original just not really old. What's the value on it? Its in excellent shape. Thanks!!

Your globe is a reproduction. Esso began phasing out globes in the US in the late 1940s-early 1950s, although some remained in use up to the 1972-73 rebrand to Exxon, and Exxon globes were used by several jobbers in NC in the 1972-75 era. 1988 was 16 years after the end of the Esso brand in this country, and well into the collector era, when repros became common.
