Owen, got your call. I am at work and will call later, I have owned a couple in the past, they just didn't do much for me.

Thanks, Phil

Owen, I've owned over 40 tall Tokheim 39's never had a porcelain clock face 39. Not a big money pump in my opinion; but, a rare and a desirable pump.

If I found one, I would go out of my way to get it and add it to my keeper pile.

Being porcelain makes it cooler if the porcelain is in good shape. Never seen a porcelain clockface.

Owen,

The Tokheim 39 clock face is a rather uncommon pump but not rare. You did not say what color the porcelain is but I bet it is white. Most likely your pump was used by Marathon. I believe back in the day Marathon spec'd white porcelain for their pumps.

Tom.

Trying to separate uncommon from rare is like splitting hair. Uncommon and rare have the same meaning.

Definition for both words.

Uncommon definition, not common; unusual; rare.

Rare definition, coming or occurring far apart in time; unusual; uncommon.

I have owned hundreds of 39s over the years and I only have one that is a clockface which also is a staionlighter pump.
In my travels on the west coast I must say very hard to find! Rare and uncommon LOL

We call the clock face pumps, but after around 1936 the companies called them non-computing pumps.
