I'm taking a road trip to top sale island North Carolina and I was wondering if anyone knows good places to check out and get some nice gas stuff. Or just a cool place to check out.

I haven't personally been to anything on the coast, but I believe there are a few just off I-95.

If you come to the other side of the state I suggest exit 37 off i-40, Smokey Mtn Antiques. They have an awesome collection of thermometers and other good advertising.

If you are going to be in the northern part of the state, check out Thornton Beroth. He has probably more high quality stuff than just about anyone.

Good oil cans don't wait for people, people wait for them.

...just so you know before you get here, that's TOPSAIL Island:

...do you have any room to bring anything down from Michigan?

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Thornton's is well worth the stop. I'd call first to make sure he is around.
