Would these be authentic Texaco bottles or just that someone throw a sticker on the bottles? Thanks

It's pretty easy to tell the Texaco is an applied sticker. The bottles look like generics which are only worth $25-35 average.
Though there are original oil bottles with applied labels I would say that more than 90% of what I have see online, at shows, and even in collections are not original labels.
If you need a set for a specific brand it's not complicated to make better labels on any laser printer. In fact you can buy water transfer paper and make some pretty nice one off bottles that put that eBay set to shame.
Collecting anything keeps you young at heart!

Besides a 574 Texaco Motor Oil, don't believe Texaco ever made an oil bottle for the US. ? Maybe I haven't been around long enough.
Alex I guess my offer wasn't good enough for that seller, because he never wrote me back wanting to know.

Of course they did Dick. In generic (unmarked by Texaco) bottles ? We all know there was Havoline & Red Indian bottles 1 Qt & 1 Pts. Does anyone have a 1 Pt. Havoline ? I just don't remember Texaco having them other than Australian & a few other foreign markets. Maybe I've been away from collecting too long. I'll go as far as guaranteeing they never had a bottle with a decal/sticker on them. I sure hope this doesn't bite me in the a$$. ; )
