Been thinking about doing this for the past year and finally got around to engineering a design to use a mini globe on top of a lubester. Anyone on the site done this before? Different ideas? Post pics if you have'em.

IF I was gonna put a Mini Globe on one, I'd figure out a BETTER Holder [someone took that out of Bathroom ceiling].

Actually Dick it is the holder that comes with the globe. As I mentioned, first shot at doing this so if anyone has a better idea I would certainly welcome the input. It actually looks pretty cool when lit up. Globe is just a tad bit out of proportion to the lubester but it didn't take me long to get past that once it was all together.

Pretty easy and inexpensive add-on Randy. This is for my own collection and I'm always looking for unique stuff so it will fit right in.

I think it looks awesome!! Anything that lights up in the collection is always nice. I would have rather not seen that flaring out ring though. Next time lets find something that necks down wink And i'm not feeling the chrome. But dont get me wrong, I like it very much.
Just something about red and yellow together. I love that!! The paint on the lid looks very cool!!

wink not so sure I would have welded that broken off Texaco doorstop to it though!! wink

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm like Steve C., I like stuff that lights up. I'll continue to work on refining the mount for the globe - I agree the chrome doesn't do much for it.

IMO I would put the globe on the tank it's self instead of the pump just doesn't look right to me on top. But that's my opinion. It looks good nice paint.
