I got this plastic mountain dew clock face from a guy today. Not really sure if its real or fake. It is painted on the plastic and it looks like is was cut because the edges are very rough. It measures 14"x14".

Wonder if it's a knock-off.
The Hillybilly looks different from vintage faces.
The edge melting could be from two types of plastic reacting to one another.

I am not sure really. I do not know exactly how to feel about it. I do not have much in it at all I just like knowing if it is original or not.

Ask Hillside. I think he posed for the depiction of the Hillbilly. Sure is a close resemblance and they talk the same.
Wanted: Original Jenney Gas, Husky, Marathon, and Frontier Globes

I missed this post - I don't believe the face is "real" or "authentic". Pepsi wouldn't allow a manufacturer to alter the colors of their logos or images. The colors of Willy are all wrong. The fonts for Mt. Dew are very close to the style Pepsi used on the Mt. Dew brand starting in 1965.
Never been considered an expert
If it was easy, anybody could do it.
Looking for nice, old soda signs, light-ups, and clocks. Mostly Pepsi and Mt. Dew.

Good discussion...on a side note regarding Mountain Dew, one piece of information I can offer is that the Pam Clock company never made an authorized Mountain Dew clock.
So if you see one on eBay, by all means don't buy it as authentic vintage, because it's not...

Sure there is, but I don't have it. Most of what I know comes in bits and pieces from other long-time collectors. Collectibles guides like Petretti's Coke and soda can help you piece but not sure there is any one single source.
If it existed, I would love to get my hands on one...:-)
