We have a lot of tugs in the Fraser River where I live. Always, amazing to see how much those tug boats can pull.

Great photo Jim. Any idea when it was taken. It was taken last week! I thought it was related to the old Tidewater Oil & Gasoline company, but after a quick Google search, it doesn't look like it. Anybody know about a connection between the old company and this one still in operation?

I live in close proximity to the Columbia & Snake rivers, the first time I saw one of these sitting over at the port of Pasco I thought the same thing ! I now see them all the time on the rivers, don't know of a connection or if there is one ? seems like I remember one being loaded with grain ? Z

You can't drive the Gorge without seeing multiple Tidewater barges. Most of them are grain haulers.

The gorge is that beautiful and much more in the evening coming west. Truly a beautiful area though morning or evening.
