Well on my visits to Matt Alverez’s house his rustoration pumps always catch my eye, so I decided to give it a try from myself. Here is my finished Gilbaro 96 gas pump that was originally a Wilshire pump, and thanks to Jim at T-ways for the decals and ad glass I able to redo it’s original configuration of Wilshire. The original color was long gone except for a faded polly decal, so the pump colors are copied from an original color combo that a fellow oldgasser owns. DB might recognize the colors… I love it! What do you think? Anthony

It does look like the "real deal".
Is it marked as a fake original and not an original original?

NEED a few scratches in vinyl decal to get the aged look that is on Jason Roach's pump.

Looking very good Anthony! I really am not a huge fan of restored pumps as I like the original look of them, but I am a fan of the "Rustorations" on pumps. They look great! Good job.

I love it too!!! The green looks really good. I should have done my rustored G&B 96 in Wilshire instead of Signal. Now you need to finish off the other ones.

Thank you everyone for the kind words, I had a great time doing it. Yes DB the next thing to do is distress the decals a bit. I will try lightly scuffing these and then give them a second coat of stain, that should give them the look I’m after. My next one to finish is a Wayne 60 done in Hancock all I have left to do is apply the stain. I will post when it’s finished. Thanks Anthony
