I started collecting antique tin toys for less than 2 months ( petroliana and soda items are quite difficult to find at the moment at good price here in Belgium ) and I got in love with those great and wonderfully made toys, I try to only buy quality toys and for the moment I have german, french and japanese toys, anyone here also collects wind up or battery tin toys ?

here are mine from my private collection, all of them are unrestored and most of them are still working great

French, charles rossignol wind up trolley bus from 1930's

another french charles rossignol bus but electric

a japanese ford thunderbird 1963 battery operated by cragstan

a japanese nomura battery operated spaceman

a german distler, tramway train electric

a german Tippco constellation KLM airplane

an english wells brimtoy wind up bus, I love this one, the bus ride, stop and ring then restarts

and 3 german schuco wind up toy Varianto, all of them are in working codition

model 3041 in blue

model 3041 in red

and truck model 3042

Nice toys. Used to have a collection cars , wind up , cast iron ,and many other mechanical 's .Sold them all 14 yrs . Ago when I retired as planned. smile really enjoyed them thru the years . But was time to sell and needed a new pontoon.
Took a lot of years to accumulate them. My prize was an Arcade Reo , gray with red pin striping. Original with white crust tires and red spoke rims.Miss it now that I start talking about it . Great memories.

Wanted TEXACO related items & SUNOCO related items .Signs -Globes et'c. Oil Cans - Grease cans .

Nucky,

Those are some nice condition pieces. I deal in vintage toys here in the states including tin.

My favorite find was a 1920's Fleishmann 9" Ocean Liner that survived Hurricane Katrina. I am also partial to the Kingsbury wind up land speed vehicles as I have a Sunbeam and Bluebird. Also the 1920's Kokomo Electricar series like the one below.
