Legs/base looks to ornate for sheet metal. Images are to fuzzy to read name. Did you find any Patent #'s?

Looks like the 2 pieces on the side could be used to lock- out the crank mech when not in use . At first glance looks like a coffee or corn grinder but there isn't any inlets or outlets . If it winds up I guess the deal on the side must have drove something ,very interesting let us know what you find . I think DB has the best idea on finding a ( patent number ) . Nice looking lower decorative metal and legs.
I like SINCLAIR and old American made stuff ... No china items.

It has the feel of an early countertop country store piece. The style greatly resembles early 20th century-pre teens with the ornate cast iron legs and top and tin sides. It probably had a decorative paint job at one time which incorporated pin striping and stenciled filigree artwork. I am leaning towards:grinding, winding, etc. The handle on top suggests that the machine was held while being operated and was also portable. Dave
