I finished the restoration after 3 weeks of steady work. Never found an original pump handle or correct repro pump handle; installed what was readily available; about 5 inches shorter than original, but OK. The light arms did not originally come with shades, but without shades, I was lighting up my yard and the neighbor's yards. I am using the smallest incandescent bulbs available; about 150 lumens less than the smallest CFL bulb. I had to fabricate one-half of the bonnet swivel and the pump handle lockup part. It turned out nice. I will eventually purchase a globe holder and glass inserts.

The pump is a Model J with a Model H light "kit". Maybe it was ordered that way or retrofitted at a later date, will never know for sure.

Good job and good looking pump, but I have to ask is that a dent/crease below the lead sign or a reflection?

Thanks
Mike

I would have deleted all the reducers at hose connection & used 1 reducer & a 45° elbow.

Tell anyone that says the handle is too Short, pump was ordered for a 5' station owner!

Yes, that is the one and only dent on the entire pump. It adds character to the stove pipe section of the pump.

I chose not to risk twisting off the fitting that exited the pump and as a result, I had to use a couple of fittings and a 45 elbow. Five foot station owner, I like that!

Sure looks like a 90° Street El to me.
Still hope you anchor them down.

Pump looks good. You might possibly consider "wrenching" on those fittings and replace them with new(brass)fittings as DB suggests. We have all had pipes and fittings to break off due to rust. Dave

DB, you are correct, I purchased a 90 instead of a 45. The G&B T-176 is anchored to the concrete pool deck with 3" steel anchor bolts and now that I have the Rush pump shims in place to make it level, will install 3.5" anchor bolts into the concrete deck. Once I anchor the Rush pump to concrete deck, I will try to remove the fittings and replace with one reducer and 45 degree elbow. Thanks to all for suggestions.

In most old pictures, they didn't use a 45°, but it will lessen the strain on your hose & it'll last longer.

Ya might cut the paint where ya want the reducers to part. You might be surprised how much just dried paint can make an easy job harder.

...reduce to 1" and use a 1" hose instead of the 3/4" hose and nozzle.
