Two of those signs sold in the last 2 years on eBay in that condition for around $150 each.

In todays market, if that is an original sign, it would sell for more than that. With the current jump in porcelain sign prices, I would guess that a 30 inch sign in that condition, would bring from $400 to $650 at most any auction across the entire country. I know nothing about the White Star Gasoline company, but if they are original signs,I will take all you can supply for $150.

I agree with Kevin, $150 is way too cheap... With the ethyl sunburst that sign will bring $500 all day long IMO....

FYI.....White Star Refining was headquartered in Detroit, then acquired by Vacuum Oil in 1930.

I would concur with the others on this sign at a higher value. $450 would be a average show/retail bottom for an ethyl in this condition. No offense to Benjamin, but anyone who walked up to me and offered $150 for it would be laughed at and not taken seriously even as a wholesale offer. Lots of stuff has sold on eBay for higher and lower than market, that's what keeps people going back to it.

On another note Dave. Rumour has it that White Star also had stations in South Western Ontario near the Detroit border. I have a Mobil/White Star transitional sign that was picked from the family that owned the station.

No rumor at all Daryl, White Star definitely had a division in Canada as well.
