I recently was able to get a fry 17 (one of my dream pumps) and while the glass is in good condition it seems that it is ruined due to all the dried sun baked gas on it. What works best to remove these stains? i also have some sight glass pieces that need to be cleaned. I need something strong because I have tried all the products I could find around the house. For any help given.....Thanks you guys!

Try the product Softscrub. It works great on fireplace glass doors and I have used it on spinner bulbs on pumps. Scubbys work well.Good luck.

This one may sound strange but it works. Easy Off oven cleaner spray. Pretty strong stuff, sometimes takes a couple of applications, but it will eat through just about any stain.

Ryan...I have had good luck useing a product
call "Mean Green". You can buy it at any
grocery store. Just spray it on and let it soak for an hour or so, then wash it off.If it dont take it all off, use a little dish
detergent and 0000 steal wool. Works for me.

Lowes carries a product of the Johnson Wax Co. called CREAME CLEANSER that I have used to clean site glasses and SU carbs with as well as the window glass. It worked well and didn't hurt the surfaces of alum. or brass. It is labeled commercial or industrial use only. They sell it to everybody and it even smells good.
