If you don't like the auction... Call Dan Morphy and tell him your issues. I plan on calling him next week... I didn't like the fact that bidopia was a site I signed up on and then when I wanted to bid I didn't know I have to go to another site which I used live auctions. I did like bidding from my cell phone! It was fast with no lag time.
The buyers premium didn't hurt the auction at all that for sure.

I think Dan and Jody and Wes did a great job on there first Morphy auction and dealing with changes. It will get better as they go.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Peotone auction was a good one , but for the first time in 20 plus years of collecting this stuff I got lied to my face from a fellow collector on agreeing to split a Red Hat globe and he ask if it went over $10,000 could we split the globe. Well I quit at $9500 and he kept on bidding. He won it and within 15 minutes he paid and left back to Wisconsin. I learned a lot on this, you can know and deal with a guy for years and then he looks you eye to eye and agrees to something then stabs you in the back.
Enjoy the globe Jim Covers

John,
I agree as well as many others do. A person is born with his word and he/she makes the decisions in their life to get greedy and to lie to people.
And I even bought some of your salt and pepper shakers Too !!

Regarding Redhat Globe at auction in Peotone. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding. In the 25 years plus I have been collecting globes, I have never split a globe and I am not starting now. You can ask Scott, Lonnie, Roger and Dan Matthews. I am only a complete globe buyer. I went to the auction to buy that globe and nothing else.

Sounds like you knew what you were doing all along. I guess some people will use any tactic to get what they want.

The one person you need to be apologizing to is Maurice. He's the one that it looks like got the short end of the deal.
