Here is a pic of some past residents from my hometown building the only dam we have to this day with a Texaco station in the background. Still looking for better pics of that.

I'll bet that sign stayed right there for years. Wouldn't happen today.

Stewarts Petroleum Pike St. South Parkersburg, WV Now and then and then. First gas station in area to be open 24 hours in the 20s..They serviced trucks heading to Florida from Akron, OH with Goodyear tires. They sold Gulf Gasoline.

A old station I ran across today, originally a WNAX station that was turned into a Standard station when they went belly up.Station is in Wessington, S.D.

Randy that Associated truck is awesome!!

I found the door decal on this Pennzoil truck interesting. It says "Motor Oil" along the bottom instead of "Safe Lubrication". I've never seen that before. Great looking old truck!!

I received this picture in a frame for my birthday yesterday. It is a station in Hancock, Michigan.


Looking for H.S. Goodell , Barkhausen , Gitchee Gumee, and other Local Upper Peninsula Michigan oil company items.

A local friend from my hometown just found these recently.
Her Father owned & ran the station here back then.
These were taken May 15,1959 when it opened.
Some great details if you zoom in..
3 Gal.of gas cost $1.00 total.
6 blends of octane are shown.
