I am very please to announce that my gas pump book has been sent to the publisher. The book will be almost 350 pages, have over 1500 pictures (about 85% in color), over 1350 gas pumps illustrated and about 150 other collectable items mostly found on the island (no tireflators). Over 95% of the pictures are from original pump company literature. The history of over 100 gas pump companies took over 18 pages in my computer alone.
All the equipment has the following: Model number; year introduced; original price; brief description; and present value (all if known).
All valuing was done by a committee of five collectors plus myself.
The book is due out around May 1, 2002 and the price has been set approximated at around $34.95.
This will be the largest book ever printed for the petroliana hobby and will be the most inexpensive at around $.10 per page.
My website will soon be set up with a complete description, sample cover and pages and a order form. Please send me your email address and I will notify you when everything is on the website.

Almost everybody knows that Jack collects Litature and Air meters.
I don't know of ANYBODY that GIVES THEIR COLLECTION AWAY. If you need faces for your pump you BUY them from Ron, If you need parts, globes, decals, you BUY them from Vic's, Gaspumpheaven, Weber's.
IF Jack had not given up AT least a year of his time his book would not be printed, and WE would be left with the incomplete BOOK that we have now.

He has made us well aware of that in almost every post.

My comments were meant in fun, he has done a through job of promoting his book (also in each of his post) and we will all benefit from it.

We can have fun here as well as exchange information.
