Original packaging? So when the sign company shipped these pump plates to the gas station, they marked the package "Fragile Glass," whatever.

Would not surprise me. What is porcelain... Glass!
Those are some nice original plates. They are in my watch list.

If they are real, wouldn't they be marked on the back SPS? Why does the seller not have pictures of the back of the signs? RED FLAG

All you need to do is look at one of his other auctions with some of the pump plates and you can see a picture of the back of the signs.

These are real!!! the repops are easy to tell from the real one's. There are no Red flags here. We have had so many threads on how to tell these from fakes on Old-gas that it's pretty easy to see once you know what to look for. And not all the real ones have SPS on them. So if you don't think they are repops, don't bid. Someone's going to have a nice set!!

Thanks
Mike

It's the letter( r ) that is the tell tale. I just looked at a original and looked at the pictures once again and yes Mike I have to agree with you as they are real.

Hammer down $1111.00. I was runner up and got outbid by less than $10.00. I hate that; when it happens.

Don't these super common plates only sell for $100., if you find a buyer.
And WHY does something like this end up in "Known & Suspected Unmarked Petro Reproductions"

I'm a hoarder. I was going to buy them and put them away for another 25 years. Better than buying RRSP funds for retirement. Greater chance these will appreciate more, without any government interference or added hassle.

Good investmest as Dave says being NOS and having box!

As for the Forum choice, Signgod thought they were all repops.

Thanks
Mike

I was just curious, I bought a NOS one back around 1989 for $100. Just sold it last year for $100. tried to get $125. but no takers. I personally think these will always be $100. signs as they have been for the past 23 years. Just my Opinion.
