Hi folks,

Need some Old Gas expert help. I acquired this DSP Pennzoil curb sign awhile ago along with some other signs and don't know anything about PZ stuff. Anybody know the vintage, and possible value, of this old brown bell Pennzoil sign?

Thanks in advance!!

Steve

Circa 1930s early version of the Pennzoil bell. As is I'd say $700-$900. Scott B.

30's is what I was told on mine. Awesome signs, I had 2 that were near NOS but no rings on them. I got 700 and 900 a year ago. I think 4 to 5 on this is possible.

Right on in the 30s is when you see alot of this style sign, they are roll-out curb signs.

The proper base should have Pennzoil on it as well, should run you $250 or so for a good one.

Complete signs, base & top should start in the $700(some damage) range up to around $1500 (recent eBay sale) for minty.

Sometimes you can run into a general lollipop style sign for as cheap as $350, but getting alot harder to find someone who hasn't watched TV or eBay.

I like how the one in the old pic looks to have a very strong embossment of the logo with bell. Looks awesome. I've never seen one like that.
Mine is an open cast design. A little later I believe.
