Well it has been a long haul with a few frustrating moments but the Islander is 99% done. There must be some universal male attraction to old rusty things that do not want to come apart. Why do it, because it is there! Anyway it makes a great light in my spare bedroom office. With a 9 foot ceiling I was able to get the light unit on a short piece of pipe. I also had two more pieces of pipe of longer lengths painted and put in extra electrical cable in case the Islander ends up somewhere with higher ceilings. The light shade and harp are made by Franklin in Canada. I didn't use the green one. I got lucky and picked up a beat-up red one which I didn't mind have painted to match the unit. I just have to pick up some drive screws today to put the little raise latch sign on the chrome scuff plate. Also I am still looking for an original set of base covers or feet. Unfortunately I didn't get the hoses to recoil, even after following the Eco Islander instruction sheet. Not sure I want to take it apart again. Really glad to get another project finished. Cheers, Don.
ps. Thanks Ron Scobie, couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks guys. The bottom air chuck is from the service station that I lived in. It filled the tires of all the bicycles and cars that my late brother and I owned through the years plus my late father's cars, trucks, tow-trucks, motorhomes, boat trailers, etc., and also all the thousands of vehicles that stopped by for free air. This small tool has had an amazing history. Cheers, Don.

Don, that looks so nice. I've liked those styles ever since I first saw the ones in Ralph Falvo's collection when we toured it. Looking forward to seeing you at Red Deer in a few weeks.
