In restoring 1938-1940's Gilbarco pumps, did you ever run into any old original window glass rubber that was round?

I have a 96C2 pump and where the glass sets on the frame was old "round" tube rubber.

It measures OD 3/8 and ID 1/16.

I was told by Vic's up in Evertt, WA that the Gilbarco pumps never used this "round" tube rubber but just the "U" channel rubber.

Any comments?

Please email me at pif@bmi.net

Thanks.

The rubber bead you are speaking of was just a buffer between the glass and frame. Use u channel instead. Paul www.severngaspumps.com
