hi guys... finally had some sunshine out today and wanted to give the garage a clean-up... Us being in the middle of winter its hard to get the chance.. I quickly took a pic of some of my recent restored pumps before they went back in.
Pumps are (from the left to right): *Wayne 605 in Golden Fleece (local Australian branding)
*Elrmatic in Mobilgas Special (local Australian manufactured pump)
*Gilbarco Salesmaker 1004 in Harley Davidson themed.
now back in the garage and under the bed sheets - some dark clouds are rolling in again .. lol. ..
cheers
Martin

Yes but Peggy is about to jump over him. Nice set of pumps and great visuals for sure. Martin, me thinks you are not cold tolerant-your winter's day in Melbourne is a nice summer's day up in most of Canada.

Are you saying that your pulling the wool over our eyes? Do you feel kinda sheepish about your work? Do yellow sheep have more Baas than black sheep? I could go on for awhile but I'll just stop and say, Great Job!!

Dav thanks for that... .. im not a professional restorer, no background in bodywork, painting, chromeplating etc... just learnt the stuff along the way and I can see a big difference between the first ever pump I restored (about 5 yrs ago now) till the H.Davidson pump just finished a fortnight ago... never stop learning.. cheers & that for the kind words.

Heya Martin, They do look great and all the other was just silly puns. I've never seen a sheep for a globe before and that is great to see! Good inspiration for some puns too! I like that those are 60s era pumps. I almost picked one up just like the Harley D. pump and it was still in ESSO ad glasses.

I have seen those globes before very rare if it's the real deal...Scott B. Scott... your not wrong there... early rams were cast aluminium but the 1950's brought the vacuum formed technology and subsequently Golden Fleece developed these light up rams. Some original cast rams go up to $1k... have seen original light up rams go for $800 ... just depends on the condition of course. I rarely use the cast ones as they are awkward to get mounted plus the pump becomes so top heavy and hard to move around. I've finished one 50's pump early last month I'll dig up the pics and put on.. cheers Martin

Here are the pics of my Wayne AS70 Diesoline version that runs the cast alloy ram in lieu of the light up version... As it was a diesel pumping pump, the majority would not be lighted up as they had these pumps down the side of the petrol station... the light up pumps were mostly the standard & super pumps that the majority of the public would use.
One bid probably... it ends up waaaaaaay over my head and had to cut a section of a roof truss to fit it in the garage once I finished it.
cheers
