Seriously? Its listed in the
"Collectibles >Advertising>Merchandise & Memorabili>Signs>
Original>1930-69" There are lots of people that could be deceived by this listing. Including myself. Its listed by someone thats fishing for a sucker, by omitting facts. People get excited and think they have a real "find". Then they find out all too late the truth. Just by reading these threads I learn lots of stuff. Thanks for bringing this to our atention,DD.

Here is a guy with 7 porcelain fakes listed under oil and gas right now .Lastsingingcowboy- see item 121135557544 and click on "other items". How do you deal with this .It will take all day to report all of them .I reported a couple ,but I just don't have the time to report all of them .

I have removed a couple of the posts from this thread. Its fine when factual information is presented, but when the thread becomes confrontational, we have to draw a line!

So here is a Texaco 15" sign that is either real or the best fake in the world .Ebay 200931817275 .It has the black outline under the green T .So is this one fake ,or was DD simply wrong?

Oh and by the way .I have been around a long long time in the collectibles business .

If you keep getting off topic and insist on being confrontational, this topic will have to be locked.

It my mind it is this simple as this .If you sell fakes-you sell fakes .It doe's not matter if it was made in the 70s or the 50s .A fake is a fake- period

Well said, Dick. That is the most articulate thing I have ever read in your posts .Anyone who has been around has sold bought and sold a fake or two .But some people made a huge profit on the fake Hull and Roseville when it first hit the market on the West Coast .I can tell you a man who has one of the most successful auctions in the south .He was a furniture refinisher until he started selling the fake Roseville and Hull pottery. He would sell thousands of dollars worth at each auction ,until someone caught on .There was also a lady from the west coast who sold thousands upon thousands of fake Hull and Roseville pieces .

You are treading on thin ice. I don't sell Roseville or Hull and I have never owned a oil carrier with bottles so consequently have not sold one. Your accusations are all false. Members here are not stupid and can see right through you and Westerfield.
