I am in need of a Hays 1921 visible pump cylinder with etched numbers. It is 27" X 12" near as I can tell. Also missing the access door and one corner trim. I will be at Iowa Gas. Thanks, Todd.

At most craft stores you can buy Glass Etching Acid & any sign shop can make the reverse vinyl stencil/mask.

That is good to know. Not sure there are many of these cylinders out there to be had. Have you done that before? Does it look ok? Thanks for the info. Todd.

Practice on a Mason jar till your comfortable using the mask & acid.
I have used it to Etch large milk glass globes for outside displayed pumps. Reversed adv glass that was then painted in details & rest [background] was etched. The glass acid removes the glaze/slick. Sand/Bead blasting will get deeper but is a lot more Risky & harder to keep even depth.
