My father told me my late grandfather had a Standard Oil issue porcelain sign repair kit at one time. I have never heard of one of these and was wondering if anyone had a picture of one they could post. Thanks for looking,Marc

it would surprise me if standard issued a repair kit...

seems like that would be more likely a product the sign company would issue to standard.

why would Standard oil brand a sign repair kit? its not like they sold porcelain signs to customers.
unless it was something HQs supplied to the various dealers, but I still doubt it would be branded by Standard oil?

That could very well be true, I found it hard to believe Standard would issue such a thing also. Be interesting to find out if what compounds were used in these old kits or if it was just lead based paint.
