Me and the kids got done finally ,we purchased this sign very reasonable because it had been cut up, the hardest part was patching the sign and taping off the letters ,far from perfect but good enough for us , after etching with sand blaster and priming Friday, we sprayed it with single stage only on the patched lower section . Also found out my daughter can tape faster and neater than me! Hope you all like.

I'm just glad to see it go to a good home and be brought back to life. Looks good up on that pole Travis and it was good meeting you and the family. Travis is a great guy and it was a pleasure to do some swapping with him.

Considering, the great job they did on the sign. I'd be getting the kids to help with the shop. Pop is cheaper then beer and once the sugar high kicks in they will be working even faster and harder!

Ditto what Mick and Dave said. Projects like that are very gratifying for kids because they can see the progress when they do it and when it is done. I bet they are really proud though maybe not as proud as Dad??? It looks great up!

I think it is great your getting your children to help in the hobby! I remember helping dad as a kid (though to many I still am a kid!!!) Those are memories that I will cherish forever!!

Thanks again guys makes all the hard work worth it that others enjoy it so much as well . This past week i was looking through a stack of check the oil magazines 15+ year old ones and its funny that I see a lot of names in there now that I recognize like on the honor roll lists and just every where from being a member on this sight Thanks Jim for this great site to post this stuff as in those magazines ,I have told myself as I look back on some of those great pictures its a shame back then they couldn't get the positive feed back that this sight allows , You had a great vision Jim!
