I am looking to purchase an A.O. Smith Model 483 gas pump. It looks to be in decent original condition. I am hoping someone can help me decide what I should be paying for the pump. I have checked ebay and other auction sites but I have not been able to find anything similar. I have attached two pictures for reference. Thanks for your help!

Welcome. I recently restored two of these. We had all the stainless mirror polished, everything else chromed, new paint, globe, hose, etc. Both sold for $2795.00 without any problems. Now I know that is a retail price but since this one needs work, it might give you some ideas? Texaco did use a lot of these in the 60's. You can see the finished pumps on my site under "For Sale Pumps".....scroll down thru the sold pumps......they are pictured there. Regards, Paul www.severngaspumps.com

I have seen them go for the $500-600 range in good original condition.
