Long ago and MANY years ago, before there were all of our gas bashes and sales, Roy Reed started out with his. For some time Layne Christianson would come to his show and Layne was the godfather of restorations but got out of it to go into a more lucrative computer business. This is one of his signs from probably 15 years ago, or more. You could always tell Layne's signs because he finished the backs in a grey hammer tone. I reside in the camp of "leave it alone"; As most know...
But, at the same time, I can really appreciate the "Mastery" of a true Artist.. And this sign demonstrates that Mastery, IMO....
Thanks for sharing, Ray!

Gaspump Ronnie started the Gas Bash here on the West Coast, then John Romagnoli did 2-3 in Fresno before Roy took it on. Don't forget Jim Oswald that taught Layne. Jim passed his knowledge on to his daughter.
