Good Day Everyone,

This is my first post here but I’m sure it will not be my last. I work for a railway museum in N.E. Oregon and he are in the process of restoring a 1915 railway tank car. We have a few good pictures of this tank car when it ran on our railway back 80 years ago but, as you can guess, they are in black & white.

This why I’m posting here. The tank car had a Red Crown Gasoline logo on the ends and had "ZEROLENE" on the sides with THE STANDARD OIL FOR MOTOR CARS painted below it. We think the RED CROWN GASOLINE logo was painted red and blue but we have no idea what color the other lettering should be. Any ideas????

The last thing is we believe from the pictures we have that the tank car itself was painted ether white or silver. Again, any ideas??????

Thank you everyone for the time and information.

Tim
