Your can is beautiful and probably a 100 + years old. When I can find an exact date I'll post it. I would not even wax that can with the litho. (sp)

I'll start, just got this NOS Full Texaco Can, I have never seen this one before. ...beautiful can! is it pictured in that Port Arthur book?...lots of old company photos of cans in there, and yours reminded me of them...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Another foolish thing I just did is sell that book by Elton Glish (sp.) so happens I have all those photos on a disc. What year is that can from gulfiend ? Early teens 11-14 might be my guess ? Maybe earlier?

Had been looking for an A38 for some time and found this one by chance on a non-gas/oil forum. Needs a few parts/pieces to be complete, but decent display pump as-is. Dave

Here are my purchases from Scott and Dixie Gas.
Also came across an old crime scene. One of my clients told me the story of about 15 years ago he threw hundreds of these lens and globes away when he was cleaning out his warehouse. These were some of the borken peices I pick up off the floor.
Does anyone else have trouble throwing stuff like this away. I know its trash but I keep thinking about what it once was and not what it is now:(
Looking for any Alabama based globes and advertising such as Coastal, Rebel, Interstate Oil, Foster Oil (supertane), Mutual, Oil Well, etc...

few more items I bought the same time as the Texaco can, I have never seen that DX rest room sign before. Not sure if it held the keys or was hanging by them. The ashtray is about 3" in diameter (goodyear)

A drawing of that can (in color, even) is pictured on page ii of Elton Gish's book 'Texaco's Port Arthur Works: A Legacy of Spindletop and Sour Lake'...the image came from a copy of 'Oil Fuel', published by The Texas Company in 1912 - the photo is credited to Dick Daniel...

I like the "Merry Tiller" can. I had one of those tillers , from the 50's. Kept it 30 years. I still have the manual somewhere. Thanks for posting , shows you just don't know what's out there!
