Here is an image with and without it on. I know for 100% fact these were used on Bowser 575's. I believe they were used on Bowser 555's as well (not sure).There were several gas companies that did these. Some were porcelain and some were painted tin.

Anyway hope these pictures help even though this pump is not completed yet.

Excellent mystery solved. I will find a space on the wall near my Wayne until I have a Browser. The one I have is missing too many parts so it is available.
