Well, this one is kinda old for BOTW, but its taken until now to get it ready for pictures!
This is an old display cabinet that was posted on Old Gas about a year or so ago and I told the Old Gasser that posted it to let me know if his friend ever wanted to sell it! Well, time passed by and I finally got a message last spring/summer, that it was now for sale! I hurried and made the buy, with the stipulation that it be stored until I could make arrangements to pick it up at the fall Peotone swap meet! I was in the process of getting someone to carry it over there for me when the Old Gasser that had originally posted it, stepped up and offered to meet me at Peotone with it! Problem solved!!!
I picked it up at Peotone last fall and it was tremendous looking but did need a little work! One of the side windows was missing and there was NO KEY, and the casters on the bottom weren't quite right!
I had a lot of projects this winter and did a little traveling, so this display case kept getting shoved to one of the back burners! It finally bothered me enough to tackle all the little problems and they were a breeze! Fixed the casters, put new glass in 2 sides, a new/old lock, and rewired the globe holder for lights!
Last was whether or not to paint it, but the patina was SO GOOD, that I just did some light sanding and then had the local body shop spray it with a satin finish clear---and here is the finished product! Ready to display some valuable Petro pieces! Now if In just had a few pieces to put in it! LOL
