Decided to post a pic of this sign, it came from a station in Portland, 3 feet wide, 4 feet tall. I think it's earlier than the Ultramar version, seems to match the pump plate. Anybody have any pics of a station with this sign?, Posted a pic of the pump plate too for comparison. Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.us

I had that same diecut cut Golden Eagle sign about 20 years ago....maybe even the same one i would have to dig up pictures and took it to the Portland swap meet back then to sell...I was told it wasnt from Golden Eagle but then maybe that was so i would sell it cheaper....in the long run i never could 100% substantiate it being from the Golden Eagle Oil Co. Also at that time, a west coast collector of Golden Eagle, Wasatch looked at the sign but had never seen it in use either...
Have you considered it coming off a lubster Wes or something that may have used a smaller sign? I believe a salesman sample was usually made to make it easier to show vendors a large detailed product. Like a windmill, seedcleaner, etc. Making a salesman sample to save say 6 inches in length??
Wanted early tin litho signage. petro, farm, auto, etc.

I might have thought the same thing Kim if I hadn't seen all three of these samples together at a show down here,, The guy said they all came out of an old employees basement that worked at P&M Signs in Orillia ON. The Salada bar has "Salada Tea Bags" on it which the full size I don't think did... it was about 16" long and the Bordens flange about the same.. I only managed to get the Golden Eagle sign,, I know where the others ones are...
