I needed something to do this long extended winter, that didn't have to be precise. By dumpster diving I gathered materials to do a visible pump. The only items that I bought was a new plexiglass cylinder and a nice repro globe from a garage sale. Everything else is PVC tube for the body, modified an aluminum light shade, vinyl electrical panel channel cover, 1" pipe up through the center holding everything together, stainless screws, other misc. items. Light cord goes up the pipe to light the globe. Nice & lightweight & mostly weatherproof. I'll be attaching it to a 24" cement stepping stone.

That is a good idea for just some garage art. I have some 8 inch and 10 inch round black iron grease duct ,looks like I am welding up some gas pumps.Marked as repop of course.

Nice job! Bet you'll get some looks if ya strap that to your back and go for a jog around the neighborhood!

Notchad, I'm too old to jog anymore, but the whole pump, minus the globe, hose, & nozzle weighs about 125 lbs. I might be able to carry it on my back for the length of my short driveway! I get 'looks' from neighbors without having to do that.
