Banner Looks Great Dennis!

Picked up this super clean Nu Enamel Flange Sign. This company made house paint, but also made paint for your car to brush On.

Bought this from a fellow Old Gas member and it came out of the late Mike Rhein collection. been looking for one for a while and after one sold at Peotone @ Matthews auction for $1800.00, I'm very happy that this one didn't cost me an arm and both legs!

I finally got something worth posting. This is made of very thin plastic and is in awesome shape for the age and poor quality of the material they used.

So I had another good week(day really). I started out at one of my clients bulk plants that morning and he let me check around. I picked up the Atlas and Standard cans along with the womens and no smoking porcelain signs for free. On the drive back, I passed an old abandoned gas station and noticed someone was in the process of putting a new roof on it. As I slowed down to look, I also noticed that the house next door had a workshop in the back with Sinclair signs on it. The shop door was open and I could make out a man working on a car inside. As I drove on, I kept thinking I should stop and make contact with him (thinking he may own the station next door). Not wanting to get shot, I drove a bit further. Finally I threw caution to the wind and turned around. He ended up being a great guy! He didn't own the station (but the sinclair signs did come from it). He said two weeks ago the new couple that were fixing it up found a bunch of cans it the attic. He proceeded to pull out a leaf bag full of old cans which he saved from being thrown away. They were incredible. He let me have some of them in exchange for some of the atlas cans and no smoking signs I had gotten free earlier that day. It wasn't until I got them home and cleaned up did I find out about the Sooner Queen can. What a day!

This is a neat item. An AC oil filter salesman case. It has cut open oil filters that the saleman can show the difference in internal quality between brands. I comes with instuctions on what to point out as bad with the others' filters.

Picked up my Bennett 132 this weekend. This is my first clock face pump and I hope more too come! I had the original crown decal and globe already and decided to stick them on the pump. Very pleased of the way it turned out!

Added a new pump to the trade stock, drove in winter weather on the way down. Got their with 15 minutes to spare.

Then I got a keeper in the mail that fits my wall perfectly. Now just need to work on a few upgrades and finding a sinclair aircraft... a little patience and I am sure I will find one.

Is this petroliana? You decide. I collect vintage toy garages (I'm out of room for gas pumps!). I recently bought this steel toy garage on eBay. It was made in 1953 by a tinsmith in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Fortunately, the article describing this tinsmith, Ben Zirzow, which was published in 1961 in the Milwaukee Journal was attached beneath the floor of the garage. You can read the article on Google if you Google “Zirzow, tinsmith, toymaker.” He said he used fourteen 5-quart oil cans to construct each toy garage that is about 12 by 18 inches. (Imagine how common and abundant the oil cans once were).

Early Pennzoil porcelain sign. Note the text with the round P and O. No highlighting of letters that go through the full bell, and the straight text above and below Pennzoil. Even the % symbol is different. Approx 31" X 19" mounted in original riveted frame. I believe the vertical side bar and long extension bar are not original as the oval frame is a "lollipop" type without its pole and base.
