Not sure if this goes here but this is a scale model of an old 1920's era gas station I designed and built after looking at hundreds of old pics of stations. I got the idea looking at old pics while researching my visible restoration. It resides in the same den as my recently restored G&B T176. It was actually fun to build.
Tell your wife you want to hang a great big moose head above the fire place and as a compromise she will be very happy for you to keep your visible gas pump and service station scale model in the den. You don't even have to actually own a moose head.

A friend took this pic of my 1/24th scale (G scale) Texaco service station and sent it to me. She used some program to age the photo.
