Hello All, I got a call from a picker friend who found a globe but didn't know anything about them, so wondered if I was interested in it. He said it had "invisible" gasoline or something on it, and was a big sphere, so I went and checked it out. The guy I bought it from noticed it in a barn loft where he was doing handy man work and mentioned it to the homeowner who said if you want it as payment for the job take it. I was actually kind of unsure of the globe myself, as I've never had the opportunity to buy one this old, so I took a gamble on it being a repro and bought it from the guy. I sent a couple pics to Scott B. who responded that it was real and that this type hasn't been reproduced. I was relieved, and I got a great deal on it! It's pretty plain, but historically it's an early globe and the oldest in my collection now. The little Upperlube was purchased from Old Gasser Sinclair Dino, and as far as I know completes my 4 oz. Upperlube variations. The other two cans were found antiquing yesterday, the PURE was a bargain at $6. Have a good one, Darin
