After taking a look at the post with the Champion flange sign I thought I would share some of my "why did they do that" stuff. I have about 40 bucks into everything so I couldn't leave anything behind.

Someone found them at a dump/scrap yard & had an idea it would do the job for them. If they hadn't used them they would have been Japanese cars or re-bar buried in concrete.

This one really hurts!

This sign recently sold on Ebay for 2200.00 without the corner cut out!

Still got to be worth quite a bit even in this condition. IMO

Good thread!! Here id a Tydol I have that was being used as a lid by some Amish to cover there pot as they where boiling lard. I thought it was a cool story smile



Then the Conoco was used to patch a hole. Sure wish that paint was not there!!! Other side is different & in good shape smile

I had a 42 " Hudson /Terraplane sign that was used for a septic tank cover in West Virginia .
