Well, I bought another rare pump off ebay about 3 weeks ago and it was clear out in the state of Washington, so going and getting it was not an option. I've had several pumps shipped to me thru NAVL and I've shipped several with them and I've always been more than satisfied with the results!
This time was no different, as they picked up this pump within a week of placing the order. They stopped at the sellers house and threw a blanket over it, and off they went! When it got to their distribution warehouse, they took the time to put padded corner protectors on it and shrink wrap it--then a large plastic bag was placed over the entire assembly--and in turn, it was shrink wrapped again and labeled with the destination information.
I received a call on tuesday, informing me that the pump would be delivered the next day between 2 pm and 6 pm, and asked if I was available. I informed them that I would be here waiting and looking foreward to receiving the pump.
It arrived about 5:30 pm last night and was wheeled into my shop and I was thanked again for the continued business! Cost $400 coming clear from Washington!
What a group to do business with! They are the best! If anyone needs their services, just call 1-800-959-8880--ext#2, and have both zip codes and the approx size of the item. They will give a price quote on the spot.
Heres some pictures of the pump as it arrived!
Pic one is just as it arrived
Pic 2 is with the first layer of wrap off--showing the big plastic bag they put on it
Pic 3 is the final layer of wrap and the corner protectors
Pic 4 is a photo of the nice padded corner protectors
Pic 5 is a photo of the Wayne 864 clockface!
I don't think I'll restore this one! Just clean it up and display it "as is".

Good one Kevin! Ditto on NAVL, I have used them several times and they cannot be beat for what they do and no crate or pallet required!

That is cool you got that. When I saw it on ebay it had your name all over it. I thought it would look good with your 861/40
