Just went through some old photos of stuff I picked from 1980 to about 1995 in North Dakota & Minnesota where I used to live! Here is where I found some of the rare stuff..... the Westland buffalo one piece in Dickenson, the Westland Red hat in Williston, The 3 piece glass Buffalo in Devils Lake, the Brant red hat south of Devils Lake... The Husky Ethyl 3 piece glass south of Fargo and the Husky Ethyl gill body Roseau and yes the came in three piece glass and Gill body as well as the regular Husky globes came in gill and wide body three piece glass. The standard oil crowns are all NOS found 9 of these is a bulk plant southwest of Fargo....I always took photos of most of the things I bought and glad I did because some of this stuff most of you have never seen.... please enjoy... Dan--Fantastic photos! I wish I had been interested in this stuff back then but I was "too busy" with farming and making a living and wasn't ready to slow down and smell the roses! I'm sure a lot of this stuff was right there in front of me and I never even noticed it!
I'd love to hear the stories of finding stuff back then, I hope to meet you one day! Thanks for sharing your photos!

Hey Kevin I will try to get out your way this summer... Also the photo of the White Eagle on the pump was on a farm west of you near baker Harlow or Tilden but no one was home so don't know what happened to it? Also White eagles where everywhere as that was a globe no body threw away as I probably bought and sold over 25 in ND & MN

I heard stories of collecting back then. I got started in 1995.
I bought a couple pumps cheap from a guy who drove an empty box truck to Montana, stayed a couple weeks and came back with it full of pumps and other petro. He had some rare stuff as well as common.

Man! you even knew what was rare back then. Like Kevin said this stuff was probably right in front of me while I was in these bulk plants and delivering gas to these old stations in these small towns and did not know or care back then. What was I thinking lol.
