I see the thread with all the cool cars and having a Toyota Camry I was feeling left out so I'll start a bicycle thread.

Picked this up to replace the stolen trike. Even though it is a folder I had to make it a basket case to get it into the Camry's trunk. A little sand blast/paint the wheels, fix the flat tires, new seat and she is road worthy. Yea, it's fast and yet a 5 year old can ride it. I can pop a wheelie and ride in circles. It's real cool.

Some cool bikes there.

Here are two bikes I had in the last 18 mos. The first is an early original pre-Schwinn Whizzer barn find. The second is a 1930's moto-bike. The first got sold to a local Whizzer whiz restorer and the other to a collector of pre-WWII bikes.

This is my 1964 Armstrong 3 speed. I love old British bikes but in my area I do not find a whole lot of them for sale. I found this on Craig's List and got it as fast as I could. It needs some work but I want to repaint it but I just have not had the time to have it done.

Here are some bikes that I purchased at an estate sell last year. A Firestone, a couple of JC Higgins, a Coronet Monark, an AMF Shelby, and a Western Flyer.

Well, I think your bikes are maybe a little bit different than mine.( LoL ) KZ1000 I like your track bike (2nd photo in your post) nice steel double triangle frame. Kevin's aluminum tubed bike, interesting they were using that material for bikes back then. Shotzy13 great tank bikes. Bruzer75 that's a lot of bike to fit in a car trunk ! I have a carbon-fiber framed road bike , with upgraded carbon-fiber handle bars and spinergy wheels , plus gps. bike weighs a total of 17.5 pounds. Using the treadmill now till Spring. But, got a few rides in early December in 20 above temps before it snowed. I also wear cycling shoes that lock your feet to the pedals (like a ski boot to a ski) you turn your foot to the side and they release. By locking your feet to the pedals you are able to generate 30% more power, because your able to use all of your leg muscles instead of just your quads. The soles are stiff so you don't lose any power from flexing.

I started with this...

And finished, something like this...

I built this for S-girl. Since this pic was taken, its received truss rods, and a custom chain guard. I picked up an original chain guard, but she wanted the one that I made instead. Its a 24" 1951 Schwinn DX. The last year for that frame. I built it with the "Sweetheart" sprocket & pedals.

Love seeing these old bike's. Keep'em coming.

Been an avid bike rider all my life. KZ1000's first picture looks like my first "new" bike my parents bought me.
Dalin's Carbon Fiber would be one I would love to try on a ride today. I still use an aluminum frame Ross I bought about 12 years ago.
One of my favorite rides is in Western Indiana. Bike the Bridges. Touring the covered bridges there in the fall.
Wasn't able to make that ride this year.
Still enjoy doing benefit rides, but spend more time as a support team for my son on his rides these days.
Chuck

Forgot to add. Found this Marathon Oil bike Jersey last year to wear.
