Well I did some research on the sign through google but what had me puzzled was that it is stamped at the bottom it says Tm under license from mobil oil corporation and most reproduction I have seen have white backs. Is there something else I should be looking for?

Fake X3. All "License by Mobil are repo's, look in the repo catalogs and they are sold in there, Mobil never had a porcelain pump plate like this, and you can see the remains of sticker on the backside.

Fake X4. That gritty dull grey finish on the back is very common on the Ande Rooney reproductions.
