Petroleum Artifacts is working on a website and now has an email address of petroleumartifactsltd@gmail.com. This is the same business that has been run for over 30 years by Joel Shadday from Tulsa, OK.

My name is Andrew, but I work for Joe. He is definitely interested and still involved in collecting old americana items, but he is mainly wanting to become a wholesaler for reproduction parts and/or parts used for globe stands or creative ways to use the globes in decoration.

Andrew, Joel made repro ripples... still making them or not worth the hassle? Are you going to be a full supplier? Welcome to the site!
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Yes, we will be making reproduction ripple bodies. From what I have seen, it looks like we are the only ones making the ripple bodies. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you can only find an original from an old gas pump or get a reproduction from Petroleum Artifacts... If you want a quote, please email petroleumartifactsltd@gmail.com

Glad to hear Joel is still at it. He and I (and Cindy) were next to each other at Iowa Gas in 1989. During the long hot afternoon, we started trading items, I think he went back to Tulsa with half of my stuff and I went back to St. Louis with half of his stuff.

Joel is doing great. He just got a new kidney from his youngest son (Daniel - 29 years old). Joel can't wait to go to some trade shows and grow the Petroleum Artifacts name.
