Just got my computer back this afternoon. Hard drive crashed. I never backed up any info or photos so Oldgas.com is the only place to see my stuff.

I saved my favorite for last. Something dripped onto it at one point and stained the porcelain. I did'nt realize the black letters are paint not porcelain until I saw them fade as I scrubbed. The Beacon & 15 inch round Texaco seem to have been hot. Sand melted into the glass on both.

Seems to be a barn that burnt. I can smell the old wood and only god knows what. The latest license plate was 1962 the earliest was 1921. Had a truck load of scrap metal out today...hand dug scrap! Signs like that 2qts can sign are why I dig. Clean for where it was!

I try to focus on signs. Bottles are better known to be in the old privy's. But I never know when or where a sign will surface & that's part of the fun. This season is almost over due to the ground freezing up. I found a 30 or 31 Model A coupe upside down on a hillside this summer. It needs to be flipped over so I can get just the body out once the snow falls.

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
