One of my picker friends stopped by the other day with this DSP Solite sign and wanted to sell it. He said that someone had bolted it to the bottom of a grass seeder to function as the spinner for broadcasting the seed. He had spotted it at a farmers residence and bought the sign. He knew it was damaged but felt that it had value and just knew that some gas & oil collector like me would want it! LOL
Well, I bought it and set to work getting it cleaned up. I applied paint stripper but it didn't work as well as planned on the silver metallic paint that was sprayed on it. I applied the stuff 3 different times and did a lot of scraping before I went to work with Mothers metal polish and a buffer. It was a lot of dirty work, but I think I have it back to where someone will appreciate it for what it was!
Too bad it was used this way because these are really nice colorful signs with a lot of gloss and shelving to them. Really well made and now its rescued from the scrappers!
First 2 pics are as found and the next 2 are after cleaning!

Way to go on saving one from obscurity.
That's really a good looking sign now.
