Hello All, I haven't posted in a while but here are some of my buys. The S-V desert water bag is neat. You can tell it was made during WW2 as it states that no Japanese materials were used to make it and to buy American. The Upperlubes are NOS out of an original case, as was the Jet Oil can. Normally I do not buy newer Mobil cans but it was cheap so I couldn't pass it up! I also added to the globe pile with the purchase of a GULF lens, as well as the Marathon lens from Old Gasser Dave Rowlison. Dave took me to my first Peotone show and helped me out when I first started collecting 6 years ago. I feel bad it isn't in a body yet, but I broke my hand the day after I picked it up and I can't assemble a CAPCO now! The Hi-Speed map is in super shape and is a new addition as well. Have a good one, Darin

Like the Conoco script for sure.
JB, those light shades are called a Radial Flower or something like that. Saw one yesterday that just got restored and they are pretty cool when done up.

I have a friend thats a dealer/collector and about 30 years ago, he got into a Pure Oil bulk plant and bought about a dozen of these old Tiolene flange signs! He sold most of them off over the years and thought they were all gone but discovered this one in the rafters of his garage the other day when he was cleaning the place! It still had the seperation paper stuck to it but cleaned up nicely! I just let it soak in hot soapy water for an hour and then used my fingernail and it peeled off nicely! First 2 pics are as found and the last 2 pics are after I cleaned it up!

Spent much of the weekend draining, repairing, re-lidding, and cleaning up this larger group of cans that I got in the mail last week from an eastern auction. Nothing too rare but about half will go into the collection and the rest will go into sale stock. I am selling at a local antique show this Friday and Saturday and I still have fun doing it. I was also out and about on my birthday last Thursday and scored the smaller group of tins. GM cans are always hard to find, though I already have two of the Nut-Eze. It will be a good trader. Cheers, Don.

Not really Tom! If you would figure pound for pound, these are way more expensive! ...not when you factor in the room needed to display them...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I'm sure the Koolmotor sign was in a thread back in the spring.I straightened it with minimal porcelain loss and I finally found perky for my collection.
