Good question Dick, I thought maybe the Fry having a 10-gallon cylinder instead of a 5-gallon, was the reason it was listed as 17R

Rush top has a Hinged Electrical conduit & Cast Iron Bonnet & Globe holder, WAYNE has a Stamped Steel Bonnet.

It was not any kind of conversion.
